We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious, and friendly School Bus Driver to safely transport children to and from school, field trips, and other events. As a School Bus Driver with Burrell Motor Coach Inc., you’ll play an essential role in the daily lives of students by ensuring they travel to and from school safely and securely. Transport Students Safely: Drive students to and from school, extracurricular activities, and field trips, following established routes and schedules.
Ensure Safety: Maintain a safe and secure environment on the bus by monitoring students during the ride, ensuring proper behavior, and addressing any issues calmly and professionally.
Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the bus clean and tidy, ensuring the interior and exterior are properly maintained.
Adhere to Traffic Laws: Obey all traffic laws, rules, and regulations, and operate the vehicle in a safe manner at all times.
Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Greet students and parents in a friendly and professional manner, providing information as needed.
Emergency Procedures: Be prepared to handle any emergencies and follow proper safety protocols.
Assist Students with Special Needs: Provide assistance to students with special needs, helping them board and disembark the bus safely, as required.
Maintain Records: Accurately complete all required paperwork, such as time sheets and incident reports, as needed.
1.Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements
Clean driving record with no violations, failure to appears or any other infractions.
2.Previous experience: At least 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred, Passenger vehicles or buses are a plus.
3.Ability to pass a federal and state background check and drug screening. (There is no statue of limitations on the timeframe of any offense).
4.Physical Fitness: Ability to lift, assist, and help children, as well as carry out basic physical tasks (e.g., helping children on and off the bus).
5.Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with children, parents, and school staff.
6.Patience and Empathy: A caring attitude and the ability to stay calm under pressure, especially when dealing with children.
1.Experience working with children, especially in an educational or transportation setting.
2.Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations specific to school transportation.
